On the left side stand two more clerics and two cardinals talking to each other. Both of them point in the direction of the Pope. The bystanders in the presentation scene represent the consistory and the ecclesiastical community receiving the new collection of laws. The scene takes place in an architectural structure with pointed arches and columns dividing the different groups of people.]

A priest is depicted in front of an altar with a chalice on it. He raises the Host with both hands to perform the ritual of the Eucharist. Behind him is a group of tonsured clerics, one of whom kneels and joins his hands in prayer. Further back is a group of laymen, one of whom also kneels and brings one hand to his head. Each group is divided by a column, to emphasize that they must witness the ritual separately.]
